Anticipation Programme Participants.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Anticipation is pleased to announce that a preliminary programme schedule is now online. Any changes to the final printed programming schedule will be noted in programming updates both online and distributed at Anticipation. Our program participants include scientists, writers, artists, musicians, professors, editors, fans, and convention organizers, many of whom have agreed to speak with the press. A partial list of those who have agreed to speak with the press is included in this release; please contact media@anticipationsf.ca for details if you wish to interview any of them.

A page with the full list of programme participants (including our Guests of Honour, Neil Gaiman, Élisabeth Vonarburg, David Hartwell, Taral Wayne, Tom Doherty and Master of Ceremonies, Julie Czerneda) has been published and is available online.

Many individuals included were previously mentioned in our Also Attending list, available since earlier this year, but a number of new names are present, among them 2008 Nobel Laureate in Economics Professor Paul Krugman of the Economics and International Affairs at Princeton University and centenary professor at the London School of Economics. He has credited Isaac Asimov’s “Foundation” novels with inspiring him to choose his field, and will be speaking about his experiences in a program item entitled “From SF Reader to Economist”. He will also have a conversation with Charles Stross, author of the Hugo nominated novel “Saturn’s Children”.

Participants au programme d’Anticipation.

DIFFUSION IMMEDIATE

Anticipation a le plaisir d’annoncer que le programme préliminaire d’animations est maintenant disponible en ligne. Tous les changements au programme seront notés dans les mises à jour de la programmation affichées en ligne et distribuées lors d’Anticipation.

Nos participants à la programmation incluent des scientifiques, des écrivains, des artistes, des musiciens, des chercheurs, des rédacteurs, des fans et des organisateurs de conventions. Plusieurs de nos participants ont accepté de s’entretenir avec des journalistes. Voici une liste partielle de personnalités faciles à rejoindre. Vous pouvez nous contacter à media@anticipationsf.ca si vous désirez interviewer l’un de ces participants.

Plusieurs participants ont déjà été mentionnés dans notre liste « Aussi présents » (disponible depuis le début de l’année), mais beaucoup de nouveaux participants se sont ajoutés depuis. Parmi ceux-ci, notons le lauréat du Prix Nobel 2008 d’économie, le professeur Paul Krugman, du département d’économie et des affaires internationales à l’université de Princeton et professeur au « London School of Economics ». Il a relaté l’influence des romans d’Isaac Asimov, dont la série « Foundation », dans son choix de champ d’études et il parlera de ses expériences lors d’une présentation intitulée « From SF Reader to Economist ». Il aura aussi une conversation avec Charles Stross, l’auteur du roman « Saturn’s Children » en lice pour un Prix Hugo.
